-Our Volunteers become trip experts by trip leading in the same destination and developing lasting relationships in the community.

-Every trip aims to have an appropriate ratio of male and female trip leaders. The average trip has 65% female leaders and 35% male leaders.

Seniority
-We make sure there is a balance of returning volunteers and new volunteers on each trip.

Trip Leader Rating
-All of our trip leaders are evaluated on their on-site performance, which creates an overall rating for them. We place our highest rated trip leaders on every trip first.
